Ohio State Alum’s Successful Venture Capital Investing in Technology in the Midwest

Rodolfo Bellesi, Ohio State College of Engineering alumnus and Brazilian native, recently spoke to 614 Startups and other media outlets about his success and shared advice to those intending to start their own businesses.

Bellesi started Ikove Capital along with Flavio Lobato and John D'Orazio, a venture development company founded to pursue early stage investments in the Midwest with an emphasis on technology commercialization.

The venture helps startups grow from an idea into a business and helps secure capital. Ikove has raised a $10-million fund to commercialize technology from top research institutions, according to a Columbus Business First story published last December. Since 2015, Ikove has attracted a cumulative $40 million from outside investment to 10 startup companies.

“Ohio State, through its dimension and social diversity, has opened my eyes to the world. Today, Ikove Capital is a tool to give back what I have learned and conquered since my experience at Ohio State, 1998-2000,” said Rodolfo in the interview with 614 Startups.
