Brazilian leaders in advanced manufacturing and engineering visit Ohio State

The April 26 campus visit included representatives from Embraer, Grendene, Bonasa, IBM, and EMPRAPII. The Brazilian visitors were able to tour the Aerospace Research Center, the Center for High Performance Power Electronics, the Edison Welding Institute, the ElectroScience Laboratory, and the Center for Electron Microscopy and Analysis. In addition to a presentation by David B. William, Executive Dean of the Professional Colleges and Dean of the College of Engineering, the visitors learned about Ohio State's Industry Liaison Office, the Smart Mobility Initative and the OSU Discovery Themes.

The campus activities were organized by the College of Engineering, the Office of International Affairs, the Global Gateways and the Brazil Gateway.

The representatives also toured the United States visiting other top universities, national labs, and hubs of innovation.

Ohio State continues to build on 55+ years of engagement and partnership with Brazil and supporting collaboration between the two.
