Global May India; Public Health Perspectives Learn more about Ohio State’s brand new study abroad program in India! Students will spend 4 weeks at Manipal University, on the southwestern coast of India, and will study a variety of public health, sociological, and cultural issues through dynamic class-based instruction and unique cultural immersion, including multiple excursions and field trips. Manipal is a leading institution of higher education within India and sits atop a plateau overlooking the Arabian Sea and the foothills of the Western Ghats mountain range. The program is designed for students of any major interested in learning more about public health and sociology through the kaleidoscope of Indian society. Students will visit community Public Health agencies, farms, and schools, witnessing the daily lives of locals while engaging in service-learning activities. The information session will address the program’s itinerary, accommodations, food, academic credit, scholarships, and much, much more.
