Orientation will introduce you to Ohio State and Columbus, allow you to meet other new students, and will also cover important and helpful topics such as campus resources, safety, and health information. Representatives from offices around campus will be introducing themselves and the services provided by their offices. You will receive more information at check-in.
We will also be hosting activities to help you learn more about campus and Columbus including tours and trips to places of interest in Columbus. These activities will also allow you to meet other new students. To view the event schedule, download our mobile app on Guidebook or view our web version.

Autumn 2015 Orientation Sessions
Important: Your orientation session is determined by the date you check-in. Refer to the chart above to see which orientation corresponds to your scheduled check-in time.
Each orientation lasts for three consectutive days. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. the first two mornings, and individual sessions will take place according to your personal schedule.

For students without Ohio State housing contracts, hotel options are available around the central Ohio area. This information may be found on the Experience Columbus website.
When you arrive on campus it is important to have a convenient way to explore Columbus. The COTA bus system is the easiest way for students to explore the city without a car. Visit COTA.com to learn how you can purchase your bus pass after you arrive on campus.
