Orientation

Orientation will introduce you to Ohio State and Columbus, allow you to meet other new students, and will also cover important and helpful topics such as campus resources, safety, and health information. Representatives from offices around campus will be introducing themselves and the services provided by their offices. You will receive more information at check-in.

 

We will also be hosting activities to help you learn more about campus and Columbus including tours and trips to places of interest in Columbus. Orientation Sessions

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and sessions will complete at 12:30 p.m.

Housing

University Housing offers interim or “early arrival” housing only to students with signed contracts; students who pursue this option will
be able to move into their fall room assignments early. The cost for interim/temporary housing is $25 per day. The earliest date interim housing is available is Wednesday, August 6 and students who arrive early will be charged until the official contract begins on move-in day, Saturday, August 23. Questions can be answered by calling 614-292-8266 or by e-mailing housing@osu.edu.

For students without Ohio State housing contracts, hotel options are available around the central Ohio area. This information may be found on the Experience Columbus website.

Transportation

When you arrive on campus it is important to have a convenient way to explore Columbus. The COTA bus system is providing a discounted bus pass for international students during orientation. Visit COTA.com to learn how you can purchase your bus pass after you arrive on campus.
