Photography Competition & Exhibition

Photography Exhibition in Ohio Union For more than 10 years, the Office of International Affairs has hosted an annual Photography Competition where Ohio State faculty, staff, students and visiting scholars are invited to submit photos taken outside of the United States. Photographers enter photos in a number of categories, which in the past have included People, Places, Animals, Signs and Transportation, among others. First, second and third prizes, as well as a number of honorable mentions, are awarded in each category, and one photograph is named "Best in Show."

The International Photography Exhibition, which includes the winning photographs from the competition, is currently on display in the East Art Lounge in the Ohio Union on the main campus. These photographs will be showcased during November and December of 2012.

Exhibit features international photographs by Ohio State students, staff and faculty

The 2012 International Photography Exhibition on display in the Art Lounge of the Ohio Union features 41 original photographs taken overseas by 31 Ohio State students, staff, faculty and visiting scholars who come from 7 different countries.

2012 International Photography Exhibition

The 2012 International Photography Exhibition list of photographs on exhibit in the Art Lounge of the Ohio Union. The Office of International Affairs annual Photography Exhibition features photos taken by Ohio State faculty, staff, students and visiting scholars outside of the United States. In addition to awarding a Best in Show winner, first, second and third place awards were selected in three categories: People, Places and Transportation. Additional honorable mentions were also chosen to include in the exhibit.

2012 International Photography Competition Rules

All Ohio State University students, staff, faculty and visiting scholars are invited to submit photos to the 2012 International Photography Competition. The competition will open August 24, 2012. Entries will be accepted until 4 p.m. on Monday, September 24, 2012. Complete rules and link to entry form are available after the jump.
