As part of the "Retrospective: the Filmography of Walter Salles" film series, the Center for Latin American Studies will host a conversation with Brazilian director Walter Salles on Friday, November 16 from 2:30 - 4 p.m. in the Barbie Tootle Room on the third floor of the Ohio Union.
Filmmaker Walter Salles is the most recognizable figure in contemporary Brazilian cinema around the world. This special conversation will be introduced by Laura Podalsky of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, and moderated by Chris Stults, associate curator of film and video at the Wexner Center for the Arts. Salles' talk is sponsored by the Center for Latin American Studies and the Department of Spanish and Portuguese.
Following the conversation, join Salles as he introduces a screening of his film Central do Brasil/Central Station (1998), which will take place at 7 p.m. in the Wexner Center's Film/Video Theater.
