The Office of International Affairs is now accepting applications for faculty and graduate student grants as well as undergraduate study abroad scholarships. Deadlines for faculty and graduate student OIA grant applications, as well as applications for research focusing on Ohio State’s three discovery themes in the Gateway countries are March 12. Study abroad scholarship applications are due March 5. Faculty and graduate student grantsThe faculty and graduate student grants administered by the Office of International Affairs focus on projects that promote the understanding of foreign countries, cultures, and peoples through academic study. Grants will be given for research projects that explore the languages, cultures, arts, politics, economy, or socio-demographic aspects of a foreign region. Additionally, in partnership with the Office of Research, OIA is seeking applications from faculty for collaborative proposals that take place in one of the Gateway countries of China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan), India and Brazil and center on Ohio State’s three discovery themes: food production, supply and safety; health and well-being; and energy and the environment. Study abroad scholarshipsOIA administers a wide variety of study abroad scholarships and is now accepting undergraduate student applications. Scholarships are available to provide financial assistance to those students seeking short-term and long-term study abroad opportunities. |
