The Center for Latin American Studies presents Cheiro do Ralo (Drained) at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday (11/4) in 180 Hagerty Hall. Lourenç, the owner of a secondhand shop, finds pleasure in taking unfair advantage of his customers. This behavior amuses him, until he finds it necessary to relate to his customers using a currency that is strange to him – namely affection – from the very same characters he imagined were under his control. The free film is in Portuguese with English subtitles. Latin American Film Series: São Paulo on the Big Screen: 2006-2008 |
