The Office of International Affairs facilitates international opportunities for our students and faculty, and makes educational resources accessible for the campus, our international guests and the community beyond. We celebrate diverse cultures, foster the exchange of ideas and support the growing international dimension of Ohio State.
Ohio State provides strong and vibrant study abroad opportunities. We offer more than 100 study abroad programs in over 40 different countries, and close to 20 percent of undergraduates have a study abroad experience before they graduate. At Ohio State you have the opportunity to study business in France, learn Spanish in South America, perform research in Iceland, intern in Switzerland or volunteer in Honduras.
We can help you make this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity a reality. Familiarizing yourself with the myriad of international experiences available is the first and exciting step in the process. We offer a wide range of support for students who want to study abroad including advice on helping you select the study abroad program that’s right for you, as well as financial planning and logistical support throughout your planning process.
We invite you to explore your opportunities to study abroad through The Ohio State University through this Study Abroad Presentation, Study Abroad Reflections Video, Study Abroad flyer and our webpages. To learn the basics about study abroad, you should first attend a Getting Started session. If you still have questions about how to select the program that’s right for you, visit Oxley Hall during Program Exploration walk-in hours. Or, if you have specific questions about a program, schedule an appointment with the appropriate study abroad coordinator during office hours.
Study abroad coordinators are available to visit classrooms, campus events, and residence halls to give study abroad presentations. Coordinators may show a video on study abroad at OSU, bring former study abroad participants, and written materials highlighting programs available through International Affairs. If you would like to request a presentation for your residence hall, class or event, please email
