A Fulbright Workshop for faculty and professionals took place on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 from 3 - 5 p.m. in 155 Jennings Hall. This free workshop highlighted lecturing and research opportunities available in 150 countries for all interested academics and professionals. Council for International Exchange of Scholars Director of Outreach and Public Relations, Ed Bodensiek will talk about programs that offer U.S. faculty, administrators and professionals grants to lecture or do research in a wide variety of academic and professional fields, or to participate in seminars.

Fulbright Workshop Schedule

Ed Bodensiek (Director of Outreach and Public Relations, Council for International Exchange of Scholars) will give a presentation on faculty and administrator exchange opportunities available through the Fulbright Scholar Program at The Ohio State University. He will also explain the possibilities of Fulbright lecturing, research and seminar opportunities abroad as well as programs to host visiting foreign scholars on campus:

Edwin Bodensiek, is the Director of Outreach and Public Relations at the Council for International Exchange of Scholars (CIES). Prior to joining CIES, he served as Director of Outreach for the Office of Financial Education (President’s Council on Financial Literacy) at the U.S. Department of Treasury. At Treasury, Bodensiek helped to manage a presidential initiative to promote financial education in the United States, and served as the department’s liaison to the Financial Literacy and Education Commission. Bodensiek also has served as Senior Associate Director of Communications at The Johns Hopkins University, where he specialized in bioethics. Additionally, he has worked as Vice President for Government Relations and Director of Public Affairs for Junior Achievement Worldwide, Inc. in Colorado Springs.
