Ohio State faculty and professional staff are eligible to apply for the Fulbright Scholar Program. Faculty are eligible for the Fulbright-Hays Faculty Research Abroad Program. Interested Ohio State faculty and professional may contact International Affairs to discuss these programs.

Fulbright Scholar Program

The Fulbright Scholar Program is administered by the Council for International Exchange of Scholars and is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State. The Fulbright Scholar Program is comprised of many different awards described at Council for International Exchange of Scholar.

Fulbright-Hays Faculty Research Abroad Program

The Fulbright-Hays Faculty Research Abroad Program (FRA) is administered by the Office of Post Secondary Education of the U. S. Department of Education. The Fulbright-Hays Faculty Research Abroad Program provides grants to colleges and universities to fund faculty to maintain and improve their area studies and foreign language skills by conducting research in other countries for periods of three to 12 months. This program holds an annual competition.
