Information and resources for Ohio State faculty:
The Office of International Affairs funds and administers grants that are made available to faculty members for interdisciplinary conferences and workshops on international themes, travel, international collaborative research, pre-dissertation research, as well as study abroad programs. ??
The study abroad unit of the Office of International Affairs facilitates the development and implementation of international programming for all Ohio State students, and encourages faculty to consider developing new study abroad programs.
The Office of International Affairs serves as a university-wide resource for the access, administration, development and risk oversight of university study abroad programming. Ohio State units and/or student organizations that are planning international travel opportunities for Ohio State students that are not coordinated through the Office of International Affairs must still communicate their travel to the Office of International Affairs to ensure students are enrolled in the university's supplemental insurance program.
The Global Option is a curriculum enhancement program through which Ohio State students may acquire a documented international expertise integrated into participating majors without adding time to graduation. The Global Option is a key component of Ohio State's strategy for institutional internationalization as presented in the President and Provost's Council on Strategic Internationalization.??
With the goal of internationalizing Ohio State's comprehensive range of activities in research, education, and outreach, the Office of International Affairs partners with Ohio State academic units to develop and manage a wide array of international collaborations.
