Gordon Gee thanks John WolfeMore Ohio State students will have an opportunity to receive financial assistance to study abroad as a result of a $1 million gift from the Robert F. Wolfe and Edgar T. Wolfe Foundation. This gift doubles the endowment that supports the Wolfe Study Abroad Scholarship Fund and was presented to President E. Gordon Gee at the ninth annual Wolfe Study Abroad Recognition Luncheon on Thursday (5/1). The Wolfe Study Abroad Scholarships have made it possible for more than 180 Ohio State students to study abroad in 39 different countries.

“This gift represents an important step toward achieving Ohio State’s goal of providing as many students as possible with the ability to study abroad and explore different social and economic cultures in another country, said Dieter Wanner, interim associate provost of International Affairs. “The Wolfe Study Abroad Scholarships will continue to enable the university to attract those students seeking ways to enrich their academic program though an international experience.”
