Dear Future Ohio State Student, Greetings from the International Student and Scholars unit of the Office of International Affairs at The Ohio State University! In addition to organizing check-in and orientation for new Ohio State international students, Immigration Coordinators provide advising and assistance with:
Important DatesMandatory international student check-in will be held in Mirror Lake Café, Pomerene Hall from Tuesday, September 2 to Wednesday, September 17, 2008 (except on weekends and public holidays). Please note that the university, including The Office of International Affairs, will be closed on Monday, September 1 for Labor Day, a national holiday.International student orientations will be held from 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Thursdays, September 4, September 11 and September 18. You should plan on attending one orientation for the entire day. Do not schedule any other meetings on this day. No pre-registration is required for orientation, you will be assigned a date at check-in. Please schedule your travel plans accordingly so that you arrive before orientation. Your first stop on campus should be Mirror Lake Café so that we can check you in and help you get started. If you are going to be studying at a regional campus and need to make alternative arrangements for check-in and/or orientation, please contact John Prescott at prescott.16@osu.edu.
