The Office of International Affairs' three Title VI National Resource Centers offer fellowships to support East Asian, Middle Eastern, and Slavic and East European language and area studies. FLAS Fellowships are available for Summer 2008 and Academic Year 2008-09.
 
FLAS Fellowship Benefits:
• Tuition waiver
• Partial fee waiver
• Stipend- $15,000 for academic year fellowships, $2,500 for summer fellowships
 
FLAS Fellowship Requirements:
• Commitment to studying a FLAS-eligible language and its area of the world
• U.S. citizenship or green card
• Full-time enrollment as a graduate or professional school student, or acceptance into a graduate program
 
Deadline:
• Friday, February 1, 2008
