The Office of International Affairs is seeking applications for its Spring Faculty and Student Grant Competition. The purpose of the grant program is to promote the understanding of foreign countries, cultures and peoples through academic study. International Affairs grants can be used to promote two types of activities: research projects and student programs. Faculty, as well as graduate and undergraduate students, can submit proposals in either category.

Projects can explore languages, cultures, arts, politics, economy or socio-demographic aspects of a foreign region. Proposals addressing global issues are also eligble if these issues are explored in a regional context. This includes, for example, proposals about public health, public policy and climate change.

The deadline for applications is Friday, March 28, 2008. For a list of requirements and an application form, visit oia.osu.edu.
