How do I know which program is right for me?

Questions to consider when narrowing your options:

  • Is there a geographical location I have always wanted to visit, or prefer not to visit?

  • Do I want to take classes in my major or GECs?

  • Do I have a language sequence to fulfill?

  • What time of the year would I like to go and for how long?

  • What is the language of instruction?

  • Which program best fits my budget?

  • Will this be my first international travel experience?

  • Do I want to study with a group of Americans, or would I prefer a more independent experience (Exchange Program)?

  • Do I want to live in student housing or with a host family (home stay)?

  • What are my interests, hobbies, passions?

  • What do I really want to get out of this experience (i.e. language skill, cross-cultural experience, adventure, new perspective on potential career, resume builder, etc)?

  • Would I like to do additional travel before or after my program?

  • When do I plan to graduate?

There are plenty of options that might fit your needs and desires. Come speak with us in Oxley Hall Monday through Friday, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
