The Office of International Affairs is pleased to sponsor a variety of opportunities for Ohio State students to complete your language requirement (through 104) in one quarter overseas by immersing yourself in the language and culture! This guide offers preliminary information on current programs available during the upcoming academic year.


Chinese

Qingdao, China: Summer quarter.
Take Chinese 101, 102 and 103 before the program and earn credit for Chinese 104 in Qingdao.

Czech

Olomouc, Czech Republic: Summer quarter
Take Czech 101 before the program and earn credit for Czech 102, 103 and 104 in the Czech Republic, or if you have no previous Czech language instruction, you can earn credit for Czech 101, 102 and 103 in the Czech Republic and take Czech 104 when you return to Ohio State.

French

Dijon, France: Summer quarter
Take French 101 before the program and earn credit for French 102, 103 and 104 in France.

Dijon, France: Fall semester (Autumn + Winter quarters) or Winter semester (Winter + Spring quarters)
Take French 101 before the program and earn credit for French 102, 103 and 104 in France

Nice, France: Autumn, Winter or Spring quarter
Take French 101 before the program and earn credit for French 102, 103 and 104 in France.

Paris (Ecole France Langue), France: Autumn, Winter or Spring quarter
Take French 101 before the program and earn credit for French 102, 103 and 104 in France.

Paris (ISA program at the Institut Catholique), France: Fall semester (Autumn quarter),
or Spring semester (Winter + Spring quarters)
Take French 102 before the program and earn credit for French 102, 103 and 104 in France

Québec City, Canada: Summer quarter
Take French 101, 102, and 103 before the program and earn credit for French 104 in Canada.

German

Dresden, Germany: Summer quarter
Take German 101 and 102 before the program and earn credit for German 103 and 104 in Germany.

Italian

Lecce, Italy: Summer quarter
Take Italian 101 and 102 before the program and earn credit for Italian 103 and 104 in Italy.

Portuguese

Curitiba, Brazil: Winter quarter
Take Portuguese 101 during Autumn quarter and earn credit for Portuguese 102, 103 and 104 in Brazil.

Russian

Tomsk, Russia: Summer quarter
Take Russian 101, 102 and 103 before the program and earn credit for Russian 104 in Russia.

Spanish

Cuernavaca, Mexico: Autumn, Winter or Spring quarter
Take Spanish 101 before the program and earn credit for Spanish 102, 103 and 104 in Mexico.

Take Spanish 102 before the program and earn credit for Spanish 103 and 104 in Spain.

Arusha, Tanzania: Summer quarter
Take Swahili 101 and 102 before the program and earn credit for Swahili 103 and 104 in Tanzania.
