International Affairs views the relationship between Academic Advisors and Study Abroad Coordinators as an important partnership.

Study Abroad Coordinators refer students to their Academic Advisors to talk about how study abroad fits into their academic program. Coordinators can usually show students what academic credits they will receive. Courses taken with co-sponsor programs or exchange programs depend on student selection. Coordinators advise students to visit their Academic Advisor to determine which courses would best fit into their educational plan. Coordinators advise students to speak with Academic Advisors prior to departure to determine courses students will take upon return. International Affairs also depends on Academic Advisers to help with study abroad recruitment efforts.
